Poem of Conscience

Storming through the trees and buildings
He surged fiercely without a pity
Lives were ruined a sight devastating
Cries of sorrow beaming through the city

She poured herself with all her might
Flooding the nation with so much fury
Hearts were taken in an instant sight
The livings grieved with hope for mercy

As if rampage knows no stopping
He tore the ground with a deadly fist
Lives were buried under piles of ceiling
Awaiting salvation out from the black mist

Minds confused, hearts were aching
Questions soared yet still unanswered
Is the world ending or are they warnings
To demolish cruelty and be unified

God, help your people with sufferings unendured
Heal the wounds of the flesh and soul
Mother Nature, forgive us, we adjure
Give us the humility to come as a whole
